Conference on space propulsion systems at the safran museum on June 22
On Wednesday June 22, 2016 at 5pm, the Safran Museum will hosting a conference given by Alain Souchier - a former Safran Aircraft Engines engineer who spent his career designing liquid-fuel engines for the Ariane launchers.
During the conference, Alain Souchier will look back at the history of propulsion systems and launchers in Europe and around the world. From the space-race between Russia and America to the emergence of new players, he will look at the technical developments and the future challenges of a sector in which propulsion systems play a crucial role.
Alain Souchier was present at the Apollo16, Skylab and Apollo-Soyuz missions in the United States. He has been involved in several Mars-exploration simulation missions since the beginning of the 2000s. He has also been President of the Planète Mars association since 2010.
